Peter
was born in Newcastle and first started playing at the age of
11 on Trombone in the North Tyneside Junior Windband. He joined
Gateshead Brass in 2000 on 2nd Trombone winning the First Section
at the Northern Area Contest playing George Lloyd's Royal Parks.
Later that year he had his first taste of the National Finals
in Torquay where Gateshead finished 8th.
Peter
moved to Greggs Bakery Band in 2002 firstly on 2nd Trombone but
he was very quickly progressed to Solo Trombone. Peter was part
of the Greggs Bakery Band that won the Durham League Contest in
November 2006 under the baton of Stephen Malcolm.
Peter
joind the Reg Vardy Band in December 2006 and has settled straight
in on 2nd Trombone and enjoyed winning his first Area contest
with the band this year playing Isaiah 40 by Robert Redhead.
Away
from the band Peter works in IT for the NHS in Morpeth and is
loyal Newcastle United Fan. He also plays in the local function
band 'Soul Reason'
